GO RIN NO SHO: Literally "The Book of Five Rings", this classic text on swordsmanship and strategy was written by Miyamoto Musahi in the mid-seventeenth century. In it he formulated his personal philosophy and strategy as it applied to KENJUTSU. The "Go Rin No Sho" is still studied by students of KENDO and by Japanese businessmen, who have adopted its strategies for their own use. (See also Kendo article).
